Born in 1989 in England, Daniel Wilding grew up in a very musical family. At the age of 10 he discovered drums.
In the beginning he received formal lessons learning how to read music and learning and perform various different styles such as Latin, Rock and Jazz.
During highschool Dan Wilding used to play in a school orchestra. After four years of lessons Dan discovered metal music and double bass drumming, after not being able to find a teacher that could teach him the art of double bass drumming he decided to take it on himself. Recalls Dan: "The people who have shaped my playing most are Travis Barker, Andols Herrick, Joey Jordison, Lars Ulrich and Dave Grohl".
After just over a year of double bass drumming Daniel Wilding joined his first proper band at the tender age of 16: Killing Mode.
Previously signed to Peaceville records, Killing Mode were a legendary underground UK death metal band. Learning six years of previously recorded material, Dan Wilding found a band that was really pushing his abilities as a drummer.
After Killing Mode band disbanded, Dan Wilding cofounded the band Misery. Proving himself as both a competent drummer and gifted song writer, Miseryís debut EP ĎA State of Sufferingí was released in all major UK and European record shops selling just under 2000 copies all over Europe. This lead to numerous tours with Abigail Williams and Suicide Silence and shows with the likes of Necrophagist and Eternal Lord.
Dan Wilding joined Belgian death metallers Aborted in February 2007, at the age of 17. He made his live debut with the group on March 16th in Bamberg, Germany.
More recently Dan has been drumming with Trigger the Bloodshed, replacing original sticksman Max Blunos, and touring with Heaven Shall Burn.
