Corey Pierce, drummer of God Forbid. His fellow band mate Doc Coly (lead guitar) once stated about Corey:

"The style of drumming that is required for a God Forbid is not an easy task. I give Corey all the credit in the world. The playing is so rigorous, he is as much an athlete as he is a musician. Being able to play that fast is certainly amazing, but I think that has always been Corey's strength. I'm proud that he was able to give the songs a great groove, and stay in the pocket as well as be a speed demon. Feel was extremely important on “Gone Forever”. Capturing the proper tempo, groove, and feel was essential."

Don't expect tribal or reggae rhythms to assert themselves in the album's percussion. Skinsman Corey Pierce points out:

"I thought I would play around with that kind of percussion, but not for the point of sounding tribal but because I was trying to be musical, put groove in, and flex my skills."

The result: mosh 'n roll to the max!
