Alex Schuster is drummer for Austrian rock band Julia. He joined the group in 2002.



Alex Schuster and Julia have played over 500 shows in many cities throughout East and Western Europe. They play summer festivals each year, often for crowds of 10,000 people.



They've recorded three full length CDs, two EPs and are currently editing their upcoming live DVD.



When Alex Schuster turned eighteen he moved to Vienna where he studied drums and Music Theory at The Vienna Jazz Conservatory. It was during this time that Alex established a musical network in Vienna and began playing the club circuit.



For the next five years Alex Schuster studied drums through the Drummer's Focus Drum School in Munich, Germany, where he also lived for a while.



Alex Schuster has worked with Julia, Peter Cornelius, Copies, Bourne, JNSN, Darlings Of The Day, Boris Bukowski, The Original Brothers, Louie Austen, The Seer, The Doctors, Mad Undertakers, Guenther Mon Mokesch, Longfield Gospel, Werner Auer, The tearjerkers Hunter, Gernot Pachernigg , Tha Family, Kornfeld, curbs, Tyler, Andrew Young, Fred Schreiber, Felsenbühne Staatz, Metropol Vienna, and Russkaja.
