'God of Thunder' promises players durability
The Yamaha Rydeen is back. The entry-level drum kit is known for its quality and construction and will last for a lot of years. Jim Haler from Yamaha gives you the all the details in the video, showing the complete drumset and all its features, including a two-hole vertical pipe clamp for the rack toms, and the solution Yamaha came up with for sealing the shells so that the formaldehyde used to glue the different layers of the drums cannot escape. A health and environmental solution that makes the drums just a little bit safer. But we bet, you wouldnt have noticed any formaldehyde used or being released while playing it.
Rydeen is Japanese for 'God of Thunder,' chosen as name for the drums because Yamaha claims it is a kit that will last. Looking at Yamaha's history of drum making, that might very well be true.
