Hailing from 'New York City' in the US are blues rock band 'The London Souls'. Who first met on stage back in 2008 after having only been able to rehearse via cell phones. Despite this, they describe their first performance, saying "It was just comfortable. It was always comfortable right off the bat. From the first note it was one of those indescribable soulful things that you can't plan out."
'The London Souls' have two core members 'Tash Neal' on guitar and lead vocals with 'Chris St. Hilaire' on Drums and backing vocals. They've also recruited a number of bass guitarists who've included 'Kiyoshi Matsuyama' and 'Stu Mahan'.
Spotlighted by 'MTV', 'Rolling Stone', 'Relix' and 'The Wall Street Journal', amongst others, the band's celebrated sound draws significant influence from the driving force of British rock pioneers 'Cream' and 'Led Zeppelin', to billowing and bouncing funk and soul, to the layered harmonies and memorable hooks of 'The Beatles' and 'The Hollies', to the contemporary psychedelia of 'My Morning Jacket' amongst many more.
Their debut self-titled album was released on July 12 2011 through 'Soul On 10 Records' and 'DD172'. The album was produced by 'Ethan Johns' at London's renowned 'Abbey Road Studios' and captures the spirit of this power duo that has been a best-kept secret among New York City concert goers since the band's formation in 2008. With a fervent and dynamic fan base thanks to their consistently impassioned, explosive live performances, 'The London Souls' unique reinterpretation of hard-hitting rock n roll recalls elements of the past with a boundless energy that will hypnotize and amaze.
Their song 'She's So Mad' has received airplay on FOX TV's show 'Fearless Music'. Also, their song 'I Think I Like It' was used in a commercial advertising NBA star Derrick Rose's line of shoes by 'Adidas'.
At the end of 2012, 'The London Souls' announced that they are releasing their new album 'Here Come The Girls' in 2013.
