Introduced at NAMM 2015, the Tama Star Walnut has 100% Walnut shells with all the Star features such as unique Bearing Edges, Super Resonant Mounting System, Quick-Lock Tom Brackets and Star Floor Tom Legs.
The combination of Walnuts distinctive warm, fat sound and Star features produce noticeable projection, along with a tremendous amount of deep low end volume.
The toms, floor tom and snare drum are: 6ply, 5mm. The bass drum is: 7ply, 6mm. As of 2015 these are the available finishes:
