Every once in a while I find myself listening to a song or an album and really feel like playing along. Especially to the ones that have no drums.

Part 9: Anaïs Mitchell - Coming Down
A couple of months ago, while driving through England, Pitou played this album by Anaïs Mitchell called 'Young Man in America'. Though I had heard of Anaïs before, I never got to listening to her music. The album really hit me and so i've been listening to it almost every day since.

While listening to it again this morning in the shower (you should try it, music in the shower is the best), I noticed there were no drums on the song 'Coming Down' and I saw my chance to try and play some. I imagined being in the studio with Anaïs and the rest, them saying to me: "ok, give it a spin Mischa". I'm not sure I would have got the job, but in my imagination I sure did :)

Also, this is the first 'song without drums' video with my new Istanbul Agop Cymbals. Now, you most of you probably won't hear much of a difference, but to me it means a lot. I'm hearing the sounds i've been looking for for quite some time now and that's really rewarding! So thanks again Milan and the rest at Fentex Percussion, for giving me a chance to find and play these beauties.
