The second cymbal in our Meinl article series at NAMM 2018 is the 22" Byzance Jazz Monophonic Ride. The first thoughts of your host Adam Tuminaro, aka The Orlando Drummer, with this cymbals that it made him think of that old school and 1960's Jazz ride sound. It has that nice 'ping' and opens up the cymbal's characteristic sound very well. Adam demos it and takes you through all the specs of this cymbal. Notice how round its crash sound is.
