Will Hunt, known for his hard hitting grooves with Evanescence, Static-X and Black Label Society, has teamed up with Disturbed vocalist David Draiman and ex-Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo in a new band called Device. Rounding out Device's line-up is Dope and Rock of Ages guitarist Virus.
Device has scheduled its debut album for an April 9 release. Their first single, called Vilify, has just begun getting airplay.
It all started while the Grammy Award-nominated multiplatinum powerhouse Disturbed was on hiatus, and Geno Lenardo reached out to David Draiman to collaborate on a song for the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack in late 2011. As soon as the singer heard the music, he was both intrigued and inspired.
In 2012, the duo started working as Device and it didn't take long before they had an entire album's worth of material. Upon finishing the record, they enlisted Will as their drummer. He will also be part of the touring incarnation of Device.
