Devon Clifford died of a brain aneurysm at age 30 in April of this year.

Devon collapsed onstage during a concert at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre due to a birth defect that had caused massive bleeding in his brain.

Devon Clifford's mother Edna describes the spot as "a little oasis" and a special place her son loved to visit as he grew up in Abbotsford:

"Now it's a special place for us to go and for the people that loved him. There aren't many things in Abbotsford named after artists. It's fitting a beautiful piece of nature is named after an artist."
