Having Steve Ferrone at a drum festival is one of the biggest treats there are. The English drummer is an encyclopedia of music himself with references in the fullest music range possible. From the 1970s until now, he has and still performs with the biggest names in the industry. However, he is not afraid to get on stage with the Belgium rockers The Sore Losers on a drum festival, just for a few songs to live up the drum clinic. A great idea! Prepare for some stunning drum solos, songs with the Losers and the entire Pick up the Pieces - drums only.
Steven Ferrone's curriculum vitae reaches almost every corner of modern music. From the Bee Gees and Duran Duran to Marcus Miller, Whitney Houston and Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks. Also, he was the drummer of the Saturday Night Live house band, way back in 1985. A cool fact is Steven being one of the drummers that appear on Slash's first solo album from 2010, together with Josh Freese and Dave Grohl. Steve was 60 at the time of these recordings.
He released three albums under his name, or with others: 'It Up' (2003), with Steve Ferrone's Farm Fur. 'More Head' (2006) and 'Again and Yet Again' (2007).
The Clinic As alive as always, he got everybody's full attention at the Adams Drummers Festival in Belgium, including Robbie Williams' drummer Karl Brazil. Karl actually postponed our interview just because he had to see Steve Ferrone play. And he was right: everybody should pay full attention when he plays or speaks. Steve Ferrone carries decades of music history and has the best stories to tell, lessons to learn and inspiration to give.
