Wincent, manufacturer of drumsticks, rods and brushes, has found a new distributor: Pearl is now the UK wholesale agent for the Swedish quality brand and will introduce the complete Wincent line to the British market.
The first manifestation of the cooperation could be seen at the London Drum Show last weekend, where Pearl and Wincent joined forces in a UK sales team, sharing the same booth.
Wincent started in 1992 as a personal project for Dan Nylén, a touring drummer who was looking for longer lasting drum rods. With the help of his father, who was a woodworker, Dan developed high quality rods from durable Scandianvian birch. Word spread and sensing demand, Dan set up a small manufacturing operation in his fathers garage. He named the new company after his father's middle name: Wincent.
Nowadays Wincent's product range covers all essential tools you couldwish for as a drummer, including hickory and maple sticks, and mallets.
Among Wincent's endorsing artists are Mikkey Dee of MotörHead, Daniel Erlandsson of Arch Enemy, Aki Hakala of The Rasmus, and Chris Dangerous (real name: Christian Grahn) of The Hives, plus independent artists such as Brian Blade and Sascha Waack.
