Toca, who celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2013, launched some pretty nice new products at NAMM 2013 in Anaheim, California. Not only with a new Ashwood front plated cajon, but also with the 20th Anniversary congas, bongos and djembes. All the new items are presented to you by Victor Filonovich, Director of Product Management for Toca Percussion. In the video he explains and shows the new instruments in detail.
Triple Conga Cajon The Triple Conga Cajon is a wood-top drum with fiberglass bowl that is compartmentalized to produce three distinct conga tones. With its height-adjustable stand, the Triple Conga Cajon offers three tones in a space less than 36" in diameter. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the Toca Triple Conga Cajon is $369.
Ashwood front plate cajon The ash wood front plate cajon measures 12 ½"W x 20 ½"H x 13"D. This cajon is larger than standard cajons and features a rugged North American Ash wood front plate that creates a full-bodied bass and vibrant sound from the fixed internal snares. The ash front plate cajon ($348) features a body made of beautiful Siam Oak and a padded seat for extra comfort.
Wooden Rattles in multiple configurations The new wooden rattles come in three different configurations. Featuring hand-tied pods made of Siam Oak, the rattles are available on a string, on a handle or as part of a wrist/ankle band. The suggested retail prices are $98 for the Wooden Rattle on String, $66 for the Wooden Rattle on Handle and $39 for the Wooden Ankle/Wrist Rattle.
Tone Bars Toca also introduce the new 3-Note and 5-Note tone bars. Each tone bar is constructed from a rich sounding aluminum alloy and is affixed to a solid wood base. The bars are suspended by string over the base to maximize resonance. Each 3-Note Tone Bar (± $48) and 5-Note Tone Bar (± $59) comes complete with a wooden mallet.
Tambourine with mount Toca introduces a new tambourine featuring Toca’s Easy-Place mount, which allows for easy conversion from hardware-mounted accessory to hand-held in seconds. The Toca Tambourine with an easy-to-place mount features 12 pairs of nickel-plated jingles, and is made from durable black ABS plastic with thicker material along the striking edge for protection from repeated stick use. Suggested retail price is $59.
20th Anniversary drums Toca is proud to mark its 20th anniversary with a collection of special edition drums, including an 11" Quinto ($549), an 11 ¾" Conga ($609), a 12 ½" Tumbadora ($649), 7" and 8 ½" Bongos ($399), and a 12" rope-tuned Freestyle II Djembe with goatskin head.
Each drum is hand-painted, and features a unique commemorative badge and Black Mirror hardware on all congas and bongos. The 20th Anniversary congas and bongos feature calfskin heads. A clear resonance resin sprayed onto the inner-shell enriches the tone.

Master Series Djembe The new Master Series Djembe is Toca's latest in an award-winning line of solid-wood drums. Featuring beautifully carved, plantation-grown mahogany, top-grade goatskin head and low-stretch Alpine rope, the Master Series Djembe is available with a 13" or 12" head. Built for the professional player, Master Series drums have a larger bowl for loud bass tones and high slaps. The Toca Master Series Djembe comes with a padded bag for easy transport. Suggested retail prices for the Master Series 13" djembe is $559; $429 for the 12" djembe.
