John Friesen, the former drummer for the '70s band Player, was robbed from his four framed gold records, including the one for 1977 hit Baby Come Back. The discs were stolen from his North Phoenix home.
Reportedly, burglars forced open the front door of John's residence, trashed the place and stole an unspecified amount of electronics, jewelry, and clothing. They also let out his dogs.
The missing records included golden versions of two 45s of the single and a pair of LPs of the album itself. All of them have a large amount of sentimental value for the musician.
The Phoenix Police Department, who are investigating the robbery, are on the lookout for a blue-green Cadillac Escalade that was spotted near John's home around the time of the burglary. Police officials have also stated that they believe that the thieves might try to sell the gold records.
So, if you come across someone trying to sell a few gold records, please get in touch with the Phoenix police.
