\"Both [musicians] are gone cause they couldn\'t actually play our material. It was sad to have to make such a decision with Dave {Lock] since he\'s been with us for quite some time. We wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors. Zach [Gibson], however, was a much easier call to make. He simply didn\'t care that he played subpar, and we decided that we could definitely not let someone who doesn\'t even care about the band to continue.\"
The Black Dahlia Murder promise a much better version of the band to come.
Zach Gibson had joined The Black Dahlia Murder in June 2004. He replaced initial drummer Cory Grady, who was asked to leave the band \"due to personal and professional conflicts\".
The Black Dahlia Murder\'s most recent album, \"Miasma\", was released in July 2005 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded with Eric Rachel (Nora, Atreyu, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Burnt By The Sun, Every Time I Die, God Forbid) and Andreas Magnusson (formerly of Scarlet) at Trax East studios in New Jersey.
