Drummer Carlos Cantatore has left Italian symphonic power metallers Skylark. A reason for his departure has not been given yet.\"Former drummer Federico Ria played [with the band at the] Ragnarock Festival and he [will] be the drummer for the next gigs of the Fairytour. At the moment the band doesn\'t know if Federico will be the permanent member of Skylark and play on the next album, but it will be discussed before the end of the year.\"\"
Skylark recently issued a compilation, entitled \"In the Heart of the Princess\", through Scarlet Records. Conceived to celebrate the band\'s 10-year anniversary, this double \"best of\" includes all the major Skylark hits chosen by Japanese fans after a web poll.
There are also two brand-new songs, \"Mt. Fuji\" (edit version) and \"Last Battle\", plus three remakes, \"Little Girl\", \"The Princess\' Day\" 2004 (this one fully revisited) and \"Dream\".
The band are currently working on a new full-length CD, tentatively due late 2005/early 2006.
