Reggae icons \"Sly\" Dunbar (photo) and Robbie Shakespeare will accompany O\'Connor on stage, according to the Crossing Border organisation.
In April 2005 O\'Connor recorded her latest album \"Throw Down Your Arms\" in Jamaica. She performs a collection roots songs that have been inspiring her for over fifteen years. Sly and Robbie produced the album.
Drummer Lowell \"Sly\" Dunbar got his nick Sly from listening to Sly Stone. He and bassplayer Robert Shakespeare met in the mid seventies. Both have been such a tight rhythm section ever since, they have been dubbed Da Riddim Twins. On top of that the duo has grown out to a successful producers team.
Crossing Border takes place from November 16 to 21, 2005. The organisation will announce the complete program in September. Pre-sales start on August 27.
