Shetland drums have recently opened a drum shop catering for drummers of all abilities. It has a focus on education, with a very comprehensive selection of books and dvd’s. They also have a tuition studio for lessons, specialising in Rock School Grades, where their pupils regularly achieve some of the highest marks in Britain.
The main lines they carry include Ahead, Evans, Gretsch, Hot Sticks, Kambala Percussion, Premier, Remo, Sabian, Trueline, and Vic Firth.
Clinics Shetland drums are also delighted to be included in the Stanton Moore Clinic Tour, and hope it will be as successful as the Thomas Lang, Billy Ward and Steve White clinics of 2006.
Saturday 29th September is the date that the New Orleans sticksman will make the long journey to the isles to perform clinics. Shetlanders are in for a treat as Stanton has recently been voted the No1 jazz drummer by drum magazine Rhythm. There will be more information on times and venue when confirmed.
