Also, this year Sheila E. celebrates 40 years in the music industry. Now 56, Sheila was a member of Prince's band in the 1980s and even wrote many of his songs. She has worked with an incredible list of top of the bill artists like Ringo Starr, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Beyoncé, Herbie Hancock, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Gloria Estefan and George Duke and many others.

In recent years, she has served as musical director for Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé' Knowles, and Prince. Her producing and arranging talents have been showcased on the Latin Grammy Awards, Summer Olympics, ALMA's, and the Image Awards. She also performed on the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors as part of the tribute to honoree Santana.
