Sepultura's drummer Eloy Casagrande was injured on stage in Bourg-en-Bresse, France two days ago. Kevin "Kikou" Foley, drummer for Benighted and Disavowed, has stepped in for the upcoming shows.
Eloy smashed his finger on the snare and blood was everywhere. He managed to finish the set but his finger was in bad shape.
After the show he went to the hospital, had some stitches and the doctor demanded total rest for at least five days.
Sepultura tried to play the gig with drum tech Dedé but that didn't work out, so they will cancel the show tonight in Six Fours Les Plages, France.
Fortunately Sepultura's tour manager Rienk called local drummer Kevin "Kikou" Foley, who is now sitting in for Eloy. State the band members:
"Kevin does an amazing job, playing Sepultura stuff from all phases and with great attitude. Thank you Kevin, you rock!"
