Scott Johnson, longtime performer and percussion director annex arranger of DCI's Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corp, recently received two great honors in the marching percussion arts.
On the same day Scott was being inducted into the Winter Guard International Hall of Fame for his numerous contributions as an educator and judge, he was also announced to be a new inductee to the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame.
In related news: Marty Hurley was also posthumously inducted to the DCI Hall of Fame. He was honored for his work with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp, among a number of other southern drum corps that he taught.
Marty, former director of bands at Brother Martin High School for 37 years, passed away in September 2011.
