Roland V-Drums Europe has set up a major international contest, in which every drummer in Belgium, Luxemburg, France and Holland is challenged to send in his or her tracks and participate in the finales by playing a Roland TD-20. The semi finales are solo performances, at the finals you can play with your band or a DJ.

The contest offers you the change to win the big one, a Roland V-Drums TD-20 set, and lots of extra’s. And on top of that, you might have some gigs coming up at music fairs or drum festivals. If you’re Belgian, Luxemburger, French or Dutch that is.
You can register yourself electronically on www.v-drumscontest.com and send in your audio or movie demo. Of course, the tracks you submit can be recorded on acoustic drums.
Roland V-Drums contest web site Roland Europe has set up a special web site for the contest. On www.v-drumscontest.com you find all the information about the contest. Drummerszone.com supports this event and will publish all reports about the semi finales, and the finales in April 2008 on the web site.
The selection process From all submissions, ten drummers are invited for each semi final. In total 50 drummers will participate in the contest, and have a change on winning the Roland TD-20.
When will your submission be accepted? It\'s quite simple: the overall quality must be distinctive, and techniques and musicaly are leading factors in the selection process.
The Jury The jury are: world\'s most renowned Roland drummer Michael Schack, Christophe Cools, Jeroen Ravesloot of Roland Central Europe, Dennis Boxem (editor of Dutch drum magazine Slagwerkkrant), and a yet to be announced top drummer.
In order to participate you’ll have to send in your original performance before August 31, 2007.
