At Summer NAMM 2007 in Austin, Texas Roland unveiled several new products, including their newest member of the SP-sampler family: the SP-555. It is a realtime audio toolkit for beat creators, djs, producers and sample-based musicians. The company also showed new headphones: the RH-iE3 in-ear, and the RH-D20 and RH-D30 models.Watch a short demo video on gearwire.com.
Roland has made the SP-555 optional gig bag available. Supplemental cushions are included to fit the SP-404 and SonicCell. The bag features two large front pockets for AC adaptors, headphones, cd cases, etc. It has an additional document pocket on the opposite side.
RH-iE3 in-ear headphones
Designed for monitoring Roland\'s digital musical instruments, the new RH-iE3 in-ear headphones can reproduce digital-instrument sounds with clarity and precision across a wide dynamic range. As Roland\'s flagship model, the RH-iE3 headphones are also ideal for delivering perfect playback from any portable digital player.
In an aluminum housing advanced drivers deliver deeper bass, extended treble, and higher fidelity - yet remain small enough to fit inside your ear. The RH-iE3 model has a gold-plated mini-plug for corrosion resistance and better conductivity, and comes with a 1.8 m (6 ft.) extension cord and a protective case.
RH-D20 and RH-D30 headphones
Roland’s new RH-D20 and RH-D30 headphones are built with the performer in mind, from drummers to djs, and any other musician who requires durable headphones with high-impact, full-range sound. The RH-D20 has 40 mm drivers, the RH-D30 45 mm drivers. Both models contain CCAW voice coils for better power and performance. Thanks to their 180-degree rotating-ear-piece design, it allows either earpiece to be flipped during performance when a blend of headphone mix and live-room ambience is desired.
The Roland-customized headphones come with 3.5 mm stereo connectors with a 6.3 mm adapter. A carrying pouch is included.
