Rock 'n' roll reverend Mark Temperato from Lakeville, New York has set a new world record for the world's biggest drum kit with 813 individual pieces.
Mark destroyed his previous world record by over 450 extra parts. A Guinness World Record representative confirmed the new record just a few days ago.
Mark's huge collection of drums, cymbals, cow bells and other bashable items also includes the largest Symphonic Gong in the world. It measures over 7ft in diameter and was made by the world renown craftsmen of Paiste, Inc. exclusively for Mark in 1996.
To prove the kit is fully-functional and claim the record, the 56-year-old drummer had to be able to hit all 800-plus pieces from either a sitting or standing position without taking a step to either side.
It takes an entire hour for Mark to strike each piece, but he insists he knows every sound on the set.
According to Mark, his drum set weights more than 5,000 lbs (close to 2300 kg) and demands 17 hours' worth of maintenance each week.
