Rick Latham and and his all-star groove cohorts known as the Groove Junkies are slated to perform at the upcoming Winter NAMM show, the show for and by the trade association of the international music products industry in Anaheim, California.

They will play at the Hilton on Thursday, Jan 13th at 9 pm and The Sheraton Park Jazz Lounge on Friday, Jan 14th at 9 pm.
Drummer and author Rick Latham has been busy as studio and touring musician for the past three decades, but despite his packed schedule Rick has also gained considerable attention over the past several years with his side project called Rick Latham and the Groove Junkies.
Rick Latham and the Groove Junkies are the equivalent of an explosion of soul, funk, and groove in the styles of Maceo Parker, James Brown, The Meters, and Booker T. and the MG’s. The Groove Junkies inject their unique, signature feel and Rick Latham has assembled the perfect combination of gifted players.
Rick Latham’s on-time meter has served as the backbone to such renowned recording artists as BB King, Quincy Jones, and Edgar Winter. Rick is currently touring with Grammy award winning performer “Queen of Hearts” Juice Newton.
Rick is also author of the internationally best selling book 'Advanced Funk Studies', which drumming legend Louie Bellson referred to as “a bible for drummers".
