Manifesto Records will re-release \"Fresh Fruit...\" to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The special edition will appear with a bonus DVD documentary.
The DVD will include new interviews with East Bay Ray and bassist Klaus Flouride (who continue to tour with a version of the band), and others, including Chi Chi, the band\'s first manager and \"Fresh Fruit\" engineer Oliver DiCicco.
The DVD highlights what, according to the label, is the earliest known live footage of drummer D.H. Peligro (photo) and the rest of the Dead Kennedys performing.
According to a statement, estranged lead singer Jello Biafra \"was asked to participate and chose not to.\"
D.H. Peligo is currently the front man of his own menacing group simply known as Peligro.
A new single-disc version of the band\'s debut album without the DVD will also be released on the same day.
