Since last month, the legendary British drum brand has been the subject of much conjecture after rumours began to circulate that the company had ceased all UK manufacturing.

However, Premier Drums has also stated that its Stockport operation is set to close on September 14th, although it declined to comment further on what this means for the business. Speaking to MI Pro, a Premier spokesperson states:

"Whilst we do not comment on specific Internet speculation or market rumours, we can confirm our Stockport operation is set to close on the 14th September. However, Premier’s UK manufacturing has not ceased and will continue. Our drumset, marching and orchestral business remains unaffected by this change. We will not be commenting further on this."

It is unknown what the closure of its Stockport operation means for the company and its Stockport staff. Stay tuned for more information when available.
