Long-time US thrash metallers Powermad have recruited drummer Dirk Verbeuren of Soilwork, Scarve and Aborted repute for their next full-length album.

In June, Joel DuBay (vocals, guitars), Todd Haug (guitars) and Jeff Litke (bass)
made note of Dirk's contributions but it appears now the drummer's position is permanent.
Dirk is currently writing material for an upcoming cd which should be released later this year.
Powermad returned from a lengthy hiatus in 2007. The pending full-length will be the first since 1989's 'Absolute Power', which featured John Macaluso on drums.
