Founding Kiss drummer Peter Criss (born as Peter George John Criscoula) is going to release his new autobiography, 'Makeup to Breakup: My Life In and Out of Kiss', next month.
Available October 23, the book tells the colorful tale of Peter's life, from the streets of Brooklyn to the social clubs of New York City to the heights of rock 'n' roll success and excess.
Kiss formed in 1973 and got famous with their makeup and live theatrics, eventually being known as one of the most iconic glam rock acts in music history.
Besides being the band's original drummer, Peter Criss composed and sang one of the band's biggest hit Beth. But he also faced the perils of stardom, including drug abuse, treatment in 1982, near-suicides, two broken marriages, and a hard-won battle with breast cancer.
