With his new signature Pearl timbales, 'Papa Luca' received another personal and artist recognition of the master- drummer, timbalero and percussionist he is for many years now. A well deserved and official statement of the Pearl Company where credit is due; to one of the best and inspiring artists there are.

Pearl honored Lucas for his many years with the company, and for winning the Dutch 'Global Act Award' in 2010. Another big recognition for his music, combined with his world wide cultural endeavors and performances with Drums United, the Cubop City Big band, Drumix! or projects like his Van Merwijk's Music Machine.
