Yngwie Malmsteen drummer Patrick Johansson has joined WASP as their live drummer for all upcoming shows following the recent departure of previous WASP sticksman Mike "Lil' Dup" Dupke.
Patrick is already familiar with the band: he previously toured with WASP in 2006, shortly after the band parted ways with Stet Howland.
Patrick Johansson was born in Falun, Sweden. The drummer currently resides in West Palm Beach, Florida.
In addition to Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Patrick has played and recorded with the Swedish bands Without Grief, and Stormwind. He also spent time jamming with Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz in a project called Red Lamb.
Patrick Johansson is endorsing Pearl drums, Zildjian cymbals and Vic Firth drumsticks.
