Swiss cymbal maker Paiste has teamed up with legendary Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison and launched the new Black Alpha 'Hyper' cymbal series. The special edition of Paiste's Alpha series are both a visually and sonically close fit to Joey's current Slipknot touring set.
As the name reveals, Black Alphas contain Paiste's innovative black 'ColorSound' coating. Each cymbal features nine silver placed Tribal-S logos. Unique and deep hammer marks exclusive to Black Alpha Hyper cymbals are also visually apparent on this completely new developed line.
Black Alpha 14" Hyper hats Made of Paiste's 2002 Bronze (CuSn8), the bright sounding and rather heavy Black Alphas cut through the loudest metal music. According to Paiste, the 14" Hyper hihats have an articulate stick and chick sound yet when they're played slightly opened, these aggressive barking hats pierce smoothly through amplified guitars.
Black Alpha 20" Hyper ride In all musical styles, where either super fast blast beats or extremely powerful bass drum patterns are common, the dense ping and potent bell on the 20" Hyper ride cymbal always dominates.
Black Alpha Hyper crashes, china and splash The 16", 17", and 18" Hyper crashes are preferred for heavy hitting drummers in need of a fiercely loud accent. When a unique and aggressive accent is required for a key musical phrase, the 18" Hyper china shows off its explosive and exotic character. The deceptively small 10" Hyper splash is said to have a very explosive bite paired with lively brilliance which is ideal for louder musical situations.
Black Alpha 'Hyper' cymbal set An attractively designed Black Alpha 'Hyper' cymbal set consisting of 14" Hyper hats, 16" Hyper crash and 20" Hyper ride with a free 10" splash, is also available.
Alpha cymbals were first launched by Paiste in 1992. Today, the Alpha brand is synonymous with dependability, and the cymbals are well known for their first-class sound and fair prices.
