"I heard a rumour [Manchester United football player] Wayne Rooney was interested in buying the drum kit and thought that might be better than leaving it in storage. It has been locked away for years with all my old discs, so it's getting dusted down now. It was a great recording set — Premier kit. Back in the day we would hire cymbals but the bass drum, toms and Black Beauty snare were mine. It's all up for auction."
Tony has promised that if the auction rolls out well, he'll be giving part of the proceeds to a music-related charity too.
If you want to put in a bid for the class kit made in England, visit Tony's Facebook page and send a private message with a bid and your contact details. The successful bidder will be announced by the end of next month.
The percussionist, who co-founded Oasis in 1991, left the band on bad terms in 1995 - a year after their first record became a smash hit in their native country. He sued the group and their label in 1999, arguing that he was owed a share of Oasis's profits.
Eventually Tony settled out of court for £600,000 and an agreement that he would cut all ties with the band.
In 2010, Tony published a tell-all book about his time with the Britpop outfit, but now insists he is eager to put the past behind him and "shake hands" with his former bandmates. Tony hopes to patch up his rocky relationship with the rest of the band:
"I'd love nothing better than to one day shake hands with all the boys. Time is a great healer. I still bump into Bonehead now and again in Altrincham. He's a top bloke. It's a shame it all ended up weird and bitter."
Oasis split in 2009 following a bust-up between Liam and Noel Gallagher at a gig in France.
Recently Liam Gallagher revealed that he would be up reuniting with brother Noel for an Oasis reunion in 2015 to mark the 20th anniversary of their album '(What's The Story) Morning Glory'. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine the singer said that despite the pairs recent disagreements, he would rejoin the band for an anniversary gig.
