An unknown fan has bought a drumstick for $699.99. The expensive stick was used on stage by former Kiss drummer Eric Carr during the 1984-1985 'Animalize' tour.
A lot of money for just one vintage drumstick - although its unbroken and personalized. But others consider it a fair price for this piece of music memorabilia considering the abundance of overpriced Kiss collectables on the market.
Kiss Expos, a company founded in 1992 by Phil Elliott, sold the wrapped drumstick on eBay.
Since he wore gloves onstage, Eric had his drum tech wrap all his sticks for better grip.
Eric "The Fox" Carr (official name: Paul Caravello) joined Kiss in 1980, replacing original drummer Peter "Catman" Criss (official name: Peter Criscoula).
Tragically, Eric passed away in 1991 due to a tumor in his heart and a brain hemmorrage. He was only 41 years old.
