After nearly forty years Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain will reunite with his former bandmates from the Pat Travers Band for a special charity gig. The show is part of the Classic Rock & Roll Party on Saturday night, March 2, at Hollywood's Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Also performing at the event will be hip-hop pioneers Sugarhill Gang and soul legend Sam Moore.
Proceeds from the show will be given to HomeSafe, a non-profit organization dedicating to helping victims of severe child abuse and domestic violence.
Prior to manning the kit for Iron Maiden's 1983 album 'Piece of Mind', Nicko recorded and toured with a couple of bands in the 1970s including guitarist Pat Travers.
Pat, who was born and raised in Canada, moved to London in his early 20s and signed a recording contract with the Polydor label. Pat and Nicko recorded two albums together: 'Makin' Magic' and 'Putting It Straight' in 1976 and 1977, respectively.
