Brady Baritone snare drums The new Brady Baritone snares, have stave shells but are spun on a lathe. The external area under the tube lugs is reduced in thickness. This lowers the pitch of the drum in comparison with a drum with a consistently thick shell. With their hand-carved construction, these drums bring a much lower note to Brady's unique Australian hardwoods.
Walkabout series bebop kit Brady's exclusive Walkabout series bebop kit with Marri ply shells and delicate Cervantes finish is a personal favorite of Kelly's. Only four of these very limited edition kits will be made worldwide. It's a kit with beautiful timber and a stunning sound: you'd never guess it was a bebop size kit with your back turned.
Ply shell snares Unlike most other drum companies, Brady does not steam bend or cross laminate their ply shell snare drums. Instead, they've been using a pressure system since 1988. The snares have excellent tuning parameters, making them very versatile. That's why guys like Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith had a 14x5.5" Brady snare for years. Jarrah and Marri ply drum sets Brady Drums had two exclusive sets from their Walkabout Series at display at the Winter NAMM 2014 Show: a unique Jarrah ply / Blackheart gloss drum set (no two trees are the same so no two kits will ever look the same) and one drum set made of Marri ply shells with a Swamp Banksia finish.
