"[Tommy] Lee found Sullivan so useful that he required him to stay at his residence so that he was always available for service. However after requiring Sullivan to stay at the home and obtaining the benefits of Sullivan's presence in his home, in 2009, Lee began deducting $1,000 from his wages every month for 'rent'."
According to the lawsuit, Michael Sullivan's pay was docked if he was even a few minutes late for work, or if Tommy was angry with him about something. The disgruntled assistant asserts that after he was terminated, he was hired to become the tour manager for Bush, but lost the job because of Tommy's " defamatory statements and interference".
Sullivan is seeking at least $50k for lost profits and business opportunities, among other unspecified damages, and demands a jury trial.
Earlier this year another high-profile drummer, Metallica's Lars Ulrich, was sued by a former emplyee who also felt he was underpaid. Eventually both parties came to tems.
