Portuguese band Moonspell, featuring drummer Mike Gaspar (photo), have inked a deal with SPV/Steamhammer Records for three albums after their split with Century Media.

The band are currently recording their new album, entitled \"Memorial\", at the Woodhouse Studios in Hagen, Germany with producer Waldemar Sorychta (Tiamat, Samael, Sentenced). A release in spring 2006 is expected.
Sorychta, who has previously worked with Moonspell on their first three records (\"Wolfheart\", \"Irreligious\", \"Sin/Pecado\"), is also known as guitarist in Despair and Grip Inc. featuring Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo behind the kit.
In other Moonspell news: the group\'s long-awaited first DVD, \"Lunar Still/13 Years of Doom\" will be released next year as well through Century Media. Most of the DVD contents are ready to go into production but the release has been delayed due to legal issues.
