Former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy has teamed up with guitarist John Sykes (Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake). Both musicians are currently working with a bassist on a new, yet untitled collaboration, they revealed on 'That Metal Show'.

Mike Portnoy and John Sykes have already laid down some demo tracks. Although they ""have a way to go", they are crafting heavy rock.
The duo came up with 12 songs and will record this fall, presumably with producer Bob Rock.
