Meinl Percussion has launched the new Travel series rope tuned djembes: great drums for professionals as well as those who just want to enjoy an afternoon playing at home or with a drum circle.
These patented djembes are ultra-lightweight - even 20% lighter than Meinl's fiberglass djembes - which makes them easy to carry.
The combination of a synthetic head and shell produces sharp slaps along with deep bass tones and makes them the perfect drum for outdoor use since they are unaffected by changes in weather.
The new Meinl Travel series djembes feature pre-stretched HTP nylon ropes to better hold the tuning.
Each djembe comes with a non-slip rubber bottom, which also helps to protect the drum from scratches.
The djembes are available in four sizes: S (8 x 16 inch), M (10 x 20 inch), L: (12 x 24 inch) and XL: (14 x 26 inch).
You can choose from two finishes: PADJ1 (Pharaoh's Script), and PADJ2 (Kenyan Quilt).
