Drummer Matt Wood (photo) has departed from 3 Inches Of Blood, according to a message on the band\'s official web site.\"Matt Wood is no longer the drummer for 3 Inches Of Blood. Matt informed us last month that he would be leaving the band once we got home at the end of June. The reasons given were both musical and personal, but there\'s no animosity between us. We respect Matt\'s decision, but are moving forward and still playing.\"
Filling in the vacant percussion spot is Alexei Rodriguez, former skin basher with Trial, Catharsis and Walls Of Jericho. Alexei is an old friend of bass player Brian Redman, they go back to the days they were both in Trial.
Alexei Rodriguez quit from Walls of Jericho in December 2004 due to \"personal differences\".
