Schulman is known from playing and recording with a broad variety of artists including Cher, Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Foreigner, Billy Idol, Simple Minds and Destiny\'s Child.

Velvet Revolver are currently using the services of session drummer Brian Tichy (known from Ozzy Osbourne, Slash\'s Snakepit and Pride & Glory among others) as a temporary replacement for Sorum.

Due to Tichy\'s prior touring commitments with Billy Idol, the drummer is unable to make the Ozzfest dates, so Velvet Revolver decided to recrute Schuman.

According to Schulman\'s official web site, Mark will taking over the drumming duties for Velvet Revolver starting with the August 20 show at the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sorum is currently in physical therapy and it is still not clear when he\'s able to return behind the drum kit again.
