Bullen, endorsing Percussion drums and Zildjian cymbals, had fooled Tunstall by calling her on Christmas Eve and pretending he was with friends in Norwich, when he was actually in a bar in Edinburgh with her brother.

The 32-year-old described her shock when he turned up the next day, writing:

\"So, 11 o\'clock on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it\'s Luke suited and booted. With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed! Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes! It feels smashing. Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I\'m playing those chords.\"

The couple plan to marry later in 2008.
