Sweden\'s Lord Belial have been forced to cancel their headlining appearance at the upcoming Jalometalli Festival, set to be held August 19-20 in Oulu, Finland, due to an injury of their drummer Micke Backelin (photo).\"[Our drummer] Micke has gotten a severe lumbago and will not be able to perform any drumming for quite some while. We are very sorry for any inconvenience we might have caused both the festival organizers as well as the visitors.\"
Backelin suffers from a severe pain in his lower back. Probably caused by a muscle strain, sometimes it can be caused by arthritis or vascular insufficiency or a ruptured intervertebral disc as well.
Recently Lord Belial completed their sixth full-length album, \"Nocturnal Beast\", at Andy La Rocque\'s (King Diamond) Los Angered Recording studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. The album is tentatively scheduled for release this fall via Regain Records.
