Billy Joel and his longtime drummer Liberty DeVitto have settled a lawsuit. Liberty had accused his former boss of depriving him of royalties from many of his biggest albums.

Liberty DeVitto was Billy Joel\'s principal drummer from 1975 to 2005 as well as playing in the singer\'s touring band.
In his May 2009 lawsuit, Liberty DeVitto alleged that Joel breached agreements to pay him unspecified royalties based on sales of eleven albums that were recorded between 1975 and 1990, and which collectively sold over 100 million units worldwide.
Now it turns out that the lawsuit has been dropped. Paul LiCalsi, a lawyer representing Billy Joel, stated: \"The case has been amicably resolved\". He refused to discuss settlement terms.
