It is Eastern 2007, Jeff Queen is at the first Adams Snare Drum Day, held at the Adams factory and show room in Ittervoort, The Netherlands. The multiple world champion on the snare drum is on tour in Europe and gave a one hour clinic in which he actually did more then he probably was asked to: he gave a workshop, showed how technique can be improved with just a few tips from his new method \'The Next Level\'. And, on the fly, reviewed a percussion group on skills, the line, technique and performance, and storing the piece in his head while watching.

Jeff gave Drummerszone.com permission to record the session, and put a few minutes of his valuable work online. Besides his skills, Jeff also showed how a tutor can teach. At the basics, he taught about learning new methods, which are extremely helpful in getting to that next level.
His lessons are on different levels. Not only does he show how techniques can be studied on another comprehendable level, he also talks about Mental Games and Visualizations to improve your skills, speed and holding sticks. He shows handy skills to improve your finger techniques for your thumb, your index finger, and middle finger, and -of course- the combinations of them.
Perhaps the best part of the video with this article is hearing Jeff talk about tricking himself when studying speed. If you feel that need as well, just watch the video on the media-tab. Jeff explains how you can get faster in an easy way without troubling the mind.
The full program of the day had, besides Jeff, quite a few more acts. From 10.00 a.m. untill 17.00 p.m. the full schedule kept you busy with amongst others percussion group Radac, The Drumbassadors (Wim de Vries and René Creemers), and also Drummerszone.com endorser Juan van Emmerloot gave a few clinics during the day about drums, tuning and how to approach you drums as a series of instruments instead of interpreting it as one instrument.
