Guitar player Ed Verhoeff presented his new album \'Slow Food\' on September 24. As a preview of the full report of that evening, we present you here the drum battle between percussionisst Martin Verdonk and drummer Hans van Oosterbeek. During the show they took their moment together and showed what they are made of in an improv of 5 minutes. In this band are a few of the finest of musicians around, without being afraid of making mistakes. But, quoting Franklin Vanderbilt from his article here on Drummerszone.com: \"There is art in making mistakes as well.\"

It is one of the first recordings of Martin Verdonk playing his brand new Tycoon percussion gear. Together with Martin, Hans van Oosterhout on drums, Jeroen Vierdag on electric and double bass and Berthil Busstra on keys, Ed Verhoeff teamed up with a group of people that can easily do any other gig with any other type of music for any kind of project or setting. Nice words so far, but that\'s all for now. In our full report we go deeper into the music of Ed\'s cd and the live band during the presentation.
