Southern California hardcore/punk icons Ignite are entering the studio next month to record their third full-length album.

It is band\'s first studio CD since 2000\'s \"A Place Called Home\", featuring Craig Anderson (photo) on drums. The new album will be produced by Cameron Webb (Silverstein, Sum 41, Motörhead). It is tenatively scheduled for release in the Spring of 2006.
Formed in Orange County in 1994, Ignite\'s fan base has largely been developed through near-constant global touring. The band has continued delivering an intelligent, socially and politically aware, melodic brand of hardcore that has taken them and their message to over 30 countries worldwide.
Their high-spirited career includes critically lauded records, among them \"A Place Called Home\" (2000), \"Past Our Means\" (1996) and \"Call On My Brothers\" (1995).
Ignite has also released various live seven-inch, ten-inch records and split CDs in which all proceeds have been donated to many environmental groups that the group supports including The Sea Shepherd Society, Earth First and Orange County\'s own Pacific Wildlife Foundation.
