Together with Zac Brown Band percussionist Daniel de Los Reyes, Gon Bops has developed a few neat new percussion products. The DDLR tambourine and shakers have the same looks as his signature DDLR cajon, released last year. Other new cool from Gon Bops are the 8 inch Pandeiro, the El Maestro Cajon - designed with Walfredo De Los Reyes Sr. and the Mariano Line that now comes in chrome hardware. On video we have Anderson Quintero demoing his dad's signature Luisito Quintero timbales. Walfredo De Los Reyes Sr. El Maestro Cajon The El Maestro Cajon is designed with master percussionist Walfredo de los Reyes Sr. His goal for the El Maestro was to make it easier for drummers to play cajon while using hi-hats, foot bells or other instruments requiring pedals. The triangular shape allows the player to sit in normal drum-throne position without having to straddle awkwardly.
It has three playing sides: two side panels with for bass tones, and a front panel with bright bass tone at the center and cutting accent-slap sounds at the top. The double side panel design side is intended to serve both left and right-handed players.
The finish has two-tone opal-black side panels and a walnut-stain front panel. A gig bag is included.
