\"The recording of the drums for Delain was very challenging for me. Delain\'s music is quite different than what I usually play with God Dethroned. The drum parts needed more of a mechanical, bombastic and functional approach, with lots of variations of grooves, bassdrum patterns, and accents that needed to be right on the spot. I learned a lot from this experience, and enjoyed it very much!\"
Ariën van Weesenbeek joined God Dethroned in 2001, after Nile drummer Tony Laureano had been hired as a session drummer for the recordings of the \"Ravenous\" album and departed again prior to its release.
Delain\'s yet-untitled debut contains eleven songs and is set for release in the Fall of 2005.
Previously a diversity of acts including Avulsed, Ancient Rites, NovAct, Liar of Golgotha, and Ricocher have used the Spacelab Studios to record their music.
